The topic today is “Is Reflexology Safe for Diabetics?”  In this podcast Lauren Slade of the Universal College of Reflexology, reports on her own research with students and the results were pretty astounding.  She also discusses the different types of diabetes, hospital research studies into the effectiveness of Reflexology on diabetics.

With all Lauren’s experience working with diabetics, she always asks all of her diabetic reflexology clients to test their levels before a reflexology session and afterwards, and always consult with their doctor regarding their medication.  Lauren is happy to report that quite a few clients had their medications reduced or stopped on their doctors orders whilst she was giving them regular Foot Reflexology treatments.  To hear more of Lauren’s story listen to the podcast.

Reflexology Can Diagnose Health Conditions [Podcast: 008]

It is a false assumption that all bodies have the correct number of bits.

Major league baseball pitcher Antonio Alfonseca has six fingers on each hand, but he claims the extra fingers don’t affect his pitching because they don’t usually touch the ball.  The condition is reported in about one child in every 500.

Actor Mark Wahlberg has a third nipple on the left side of his chest. Early in his career, he considered having it removed, but he later came to accept it. Around 2 percent of women and slightly fewer men have a an extra nipple.

The point I am making is that we are all unique individuals and to assume that a body map or reflexology map is an absolute accurate representation and mirror image of all the body organs, glands and parts is I believe untrue.

Understanding Body Messages [Podcast 007]

Everything that has ever happened to you is recorded in your body, in that computer that never forgets.

Every event that you experience impacts upon you with good feelings or bad.  If something gives you a good feeling, every cell in your body is favourably affected and therefore benefits.  If something happens that makes you feel bad, then your body feels bad, and once more, every cell in your body is influenced in a harmful or unhappy way.

If you want to avoid illness, be alert to how you feel all the time.

In this podcast I talk about a few of the possible explanations that can be attached to certain parts of the body when it decides to “talk” to you via discomfort or pain.

Reflexology is Quackery [Podcast #004]

The National Council Against Health Fraud has issued statements to advise the media and the general public that reflexology has no therapeutic or diagnostic value for over two decades.  From my research it would seem that the basis of the Council’s opinion about reflexology today, is based on an unpublished 30 year old study, that questioned the ability of one part-time Reflexologist  to identify specific health issues on 70 individuals.

Listen to my podcast for more disturbing information relating to the reliability of statements issued by NCAHF.
