Introducing Aromatherapy Coloring Club

Do you love essential oils? I do and have used them for over 40 years in my day to day life. They’re great for so many different things! From helping aid in the recovery of the common cold/flu, to a natural air deodorizer, sleep aid, and so much more, essential oils are becoming more common.

I love them so much that I even created a course how to use Aromatherapy oils with Reflexology which was on sale a little while ago.  Whether you picked up that home study program, or slotted it in for a later project, then you will love what I just signed up for – an Aromatherapy monthly club that very cleverly combines essential oil basics with coloring pages.

Every month, as a member of the aromatherapy subscription, I get a new set of coloring pages themed around one essential oil. The coloring pages allow me to explore different aspects of each oil – their history, science, uses, and more, using fun, detailed coloring elements.

I was excited to receive the November club release of the Ginger essential oil package, and December’s offering is the Christmas time Cinnamon essential oil coloring package. Best of all the monthly price is half of the individual package fee..

If this sounds like something that interests you, I invite you to join me and the rest of the aromatherapy coloring enthusiasts today.

Check it out here Aromatherapy & Coloring Club

My favorite coloring page (out of total of 31)  in the December pack is the recipe for Warming & Relaxing Foot Bath – ideal for the coming cold winter nights.  What a great idea to share with your Reflexology clients!

How to Make Your Own Aromatherapy Hand Sanitizer

Aromatherapy Hand Sanitizer

It is a fact the commercial hand sanitizers are chemically-scented and made with toxic ingredients. While they do kill bacteria and viruses, these chemicals also seep into the pores of the skin and are absorbed into the bloodstream.

The primary active ingredients in these sanitizers are Ethyl alcohol and Isopropyl alcohol. Ethyl alcohol is also know as ethanol, pure alcohol, grain alcohol and drinking alcohol. This is what kills the germs. Ethyl alcohol is used in some cosmetics to enhance the absorption of other ingredients, which means that anything mixed with it will move through the skin and into the bloodstream more easily.

If you are not a fan of commercial hand sanitizers, here are two recipes that are very easy to make at home. The first one is more like the gel type of hand sanitizer and the other one is a spray. They both work great, it just depends on your preference. Both of these hand sanitizer recipes are nice to have on hand because they act as both a hand sanitizer and a natural antiseptic.

Each ingredient has many purposes in these recipes besides cleaning your hands. The tea tree and lavender essential oils help to fight germs with their anti-bacterial properties. The Witch Hazel is a natural germ killer among other things and the Aloe Vera Gel is so healing to the skin that it has been used by many cultures around the world for thousands of years. Vitamin E oil helps heal the skin while serving as a product preservative.

Make Your Own Natural Toothpaste

Virtually all commercial toothpastes contain one or both of two problematic ingredients: fluoride and glycerin. Fluoride, a mining by-product, is one of the bigger scams perpetrated on an unwitting public. Instead of being beneficial it actually damages teeth. Glycerin coats the enamel and prevents natural re-mineralization of teeth. The solution in avoiding those two items may be making your own tooth paste or tooth cleanser at home.

Here are some recipes you can make at home which contain neither fluoride or glycerin: Continue reading “Make Your Own Natural Toothpaste”

Aromatherapy Massage: Smell the Relief

Essential Oils
Essential Oils

A sense of smell is very important. You might not think so if you ever stood next to a dumpster or surprised a skunk, but it’s true. Use that sense of smell to relax your body with an aromatherapy massage.

What is aromath
erapy all about? It is the use of healing herbs and essential oils to relax and heal the body. Today it is used primarily for enjoyment but the health benefits still exist. Continue reading “Aromatherapy Massage: Smell the Relief”
